Community Justice Institute, College of Architecture Urban and Public Affairs at Florida Atlantic University

A Type III Research Center sanctioned by the Florida Board of Regents and supported by state, federal, and private funds, as well as university resources. Staff, consultants and volunteers at the CJI work to support local, state, national, and international efforts to increase citizen access to and involvement in justice decision-making, and to channel justice intervention towards supporting the development of community capacity. Australian Institute of Criminology - RJ in Australia

Australia's pre-eminent national crime and criminal justice research agency. A group of volunteers dedicated to providing the motivation and personal help to keep first time offenders from becoming repeat offenders.

CANADA

Atlantic Community Justice Project

Was a one-year project of the Atlantic Coordinating Committee on Crime Prevention and Community Safety in partnership with the Correctional Service of Canada.


Calgary Community Conferencing

Brings together young people, their victims, families, supporters, other key people and community members affected by conflict to find solutions beneficial to all.


Centre for Restorative Justice, Simon Fraser University

Provides a focal point for faculty, students and members of the community to explore a broad range of restorative justice issues. Maintains facilities, materials, services, personnel and other resources dedicated to the study, teaching and practice of restorative justice.


Church Council on Justice and Corrections

A national coalition of faith-based individuals and churches in Ottowa, Ontario who seek a more humane way of doing criminal justice - primarily by education, advocacy and community development initiatives that foster healthier communities and crime prevention through social responsibility.


Circles of Support and Accountability

These circles across Canada aim to substantially reduce the risk of future victimization of community members by assisting, supporting and holding accountable released sex offenders in their task of integrating with the community and leading responsible and productive lives.


Restorative Justice in Canada - Conflict Resolution Network Canada

Helps people find ways rough conflict encouraging the use of peaceful processes in everyday life. Promotes and extends the use of conflict resolution and restorative justice processes such as negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution and restorative practices such as negotiation, mediation, consensus-building and peacemaking circles. Provides services to schools, workplaces, communities, criminal justice settings, environment, media, government and international settings.


EUROPE

European Forum for Victim-Offender Mediation and Restorative Justice

The general aim of the Forum is to establish and develop victim-offender mediation and other restorative justice practices throughout Europe. The Forum promotes international exchange of information and mutual help; promotes the development of effective restorative justice polices, services and legislation; explores and develops theoretical basis of restorative justice; stimulates research; and assists the development of principles, ethics, training and good practice.


Restorative Justice Ireland Network

Works to raise awareness and stimulate interest in restorative justice throughout Ireland. Aims to promote restorative justice as an effective way of coping with crime and its effects; network between persons and agencies interested in developing restorative justice and give them a vehicle for sharing information, good practices, research and information about training opportunities; to link restorative justice in Ireland with developments in other parts of the world and contribute to international dialogue and earning; to facilitate application of restorative justice principles into specific programmes and initiatives in Ireland. Established in 2997 and steered by a number of voluntary and statutory agencies in North and South.


SOUTH AFRICA

Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation

A multi-disciplinary, non-governmental organization concerned with policy formation, implementation, service delivery, education, training and consulting services for both victims and perpetrators of violenc ein reconciliation and conflict management.


Restorative Justice Centre - South Africa

A South African non-profit organization established in 1998 in Tshwane/Pretoria. Helps to settle conflicts caused by crime through restorative justice practices and to facilitate healing for individuals and communities affected by crime. Direct services are offered to individuals, indirect services are offered to court officials, correctional service personnel, educators, police and community organizations. Offers training, lobbies to change government policy and legislation to bring a more healing approach into the justice system, build the RJ movement in South Africa, offer support to researchers in the field, help other organizations to build their capacity to deliver services in the field.


INTERNATIONAL

International Institute for Restorative Justice Practices

A non-profit organization that provides education, consultation and research in support of the development of restorative justice practices round the world. The IIRP has several programs, each focusing on the use of restorative practices in a different area. Conducts Real Justice, for restorative practices in criminal justice; SaferSanerSchools, for restorative practices in schools; FamilyPower, for restorative practices in child and family welfare and GoodCompany, for restorative practices in workplaces. Works closely with its sister organizations, the Community Service Foundation (CFS) and Buxmont Academy, which operate programs that demonstrate restorative practices in education, counseling and residential services for troubled youth.
