Helps to settle conflicts caused by crime through restorative justice practices and to facilitate healing for individuals and communities affected by crime. International Institute for Restorative Justice Practices A non-profit organization that provides education, consultation and research in support of the development of restorative justice practices round the world. The IIRP has several programs, each focusing on the use of restorative practices in a different area. Conducts Real Justice, for restorative practices in criminal justice; SaferSanerSchools, for restorative practices in schools; FamilyPower, for restorative practices in child and family welfare and GoodCompany, for restorative practices in workplaces. Works closely with its sister organizations, the Community Service Foundation (CFS) and Buxmont Academy, which operate programs that demonstrate restorative practices in education, counseling and residential services for troubled youth. |
